Mansion Party VII
If you live in Dar es Salaam and haven’t heard of the infamous Mansion Parties, then please let me know what rock you have been living under so I can let you know when the next one will be, because trust me, these are parties you just don’t want to miss! They truly are parties with a twist!
Now, obviously the aim of any good party is to have a good time, however the rationale behind these brilliant bashes goes somewhat deeper than that, positioning the Mansion Parties totally in a league of their own.
What makes these parties different is that they were devised as a way to facilitate mingling and most importantly networking with other like-minded and inspiring people. The parties themselves and those who attend serve as a motivation to aspire every guest present to be as great as they can be at whatever it is they do.
The first party was held two years ago in December, and has since been held three times a year. Each party takes place in a different remarkable location somewhere in Dar, so the vibe is never exactly the same. The venue for each event is announced via social media channels just 12 hours before the party commences increasing the massive hype around each event.
The selection of the venues is particularly important, as they aim to evoke a certain feeling. The idea is not just to have a party in a big plush house, but to choose a setting that amazes and inspires all in attendance.
Amour Shamte, the creative force behind the Mansion Parties and numerous other WEOUTCHEA projects told TGL,
“The venues are selected based on architectural dopeness, it has to be aspirational in the sense that the house should start a conversation to anyone that visits it. Whether it’s the color of the house or the size, the furniture, the pool or garden design, all serve as a motivation to the people who attend to be inspired to greatness”.
The Mansion Parties are sponsored by Hennessy which really adds another level of distinction to this tri-annual event, giving all who attend that very auspicious VIP feeling! Amour went on to told TGL, “Hennessy has been a great supporter of our vision, sponsoring the event and making sure everything we do creatively for the event is executed perfectly”.
The Mansion Parties are just one of the various innovative projects coming out of the WEOUTCHEA collective who are definitely making huge waves in Dar right about now. WEOUTCHEA is a collective of DJ’s, designers, artists and musicians who came together by a shared vision of excellence and this is what drives everything they do.
These Mansion Parties have literally become one of the most anticipated events on the Dar es Salaam calendar, so if you are still sitting under that rock you need to emerge now and find your way to the next one!
