More international artists set to rock Kenya
It seems the line-up of international artists coming to Kenya in 2016 is not slowing down any time soon!
The second half of the year has already seen Estelle, Mafikizolo and Uhuru SA wow the crowds in July and 112, Ginuwine and Mya perform at The Plot Kenya. Just last week, Trey Songz was also in the country recording the fourth season of the Pan African music show, Coke Studio Africa. During his visit, Trey Songz was spotted partying with the locals at Nairobi’s B Club.
As we head into the last quarter of the year, a number of artists are already set to jet in for performances in October. Grammy award winner Mohombi is officially on his African tour and will arrive in Nairobi on Friday. The Swedish-Congolese R & B singer known for his hits ‘Bumpy Ride‘ and ‘Hula Hoop‘ will entertain masses all weekend, first with performances on Friday and Saturday at B Club then hosting a VIP pool party on Sunday at the Best Western Premier Hotel.
The weekend after that will then see Hip-Hop and R & B artist Chris Brown perform in Mombasa on October 8 at the Nyali Golf club alongside Nigerian star Wizkid. Organized by Mombasa Rocks, this Music Festival will be an exclusive event and aims to attract the crème de la crème of the music and entertainment industry, hence the pricey tags on tickets. Regular tickets will be going for 10, 000 shillings, while VIP and VVIP will go for KSh 20,000 and KSh 50,000 respectively.
“We wanted to make it a surprise for everyone, that is why we did not say anything before, until we were near the concert date,” said Alexadre Helaine, marketing manager Moet Hennessy Eastern Africa, who are the key sponsors of the event.
